Welcome to PQA Chislehurst & Sidcup!
I am the very proud Principal of PQA Chislehurst & Sidcup. I have taught at the Academy since it's opening in 2012 and have loved every minute of seeing it grow and go from strength to strength. We have a fantastic group of committed and experienced teachers- all experts in their fields, and loved by our students.
The school has a fantastic dance studio with sprung floor and mirrors, as well as a drama studio, out-door amphitheatre and many brilliant locations in the grounds for our filming projects.
As an academy, we have performed on stage at Her Majesty's Theatre in London, on the mainstage at the Danson Festival and at The Mick Jagger Centre, Dartford. Our students make many wonderful high quality short films which are entered into a wide variety of film festivals; recently a Green Group film was short listed for the prestigious Nikon Film Festival award and for 'best short' at The Raindance Festival.
Our students forever impress us with their skill and talent and are often auditioning for the latest show, film or commercial through Quirky Kidz; the PQA acting agency. They all also regularly take part in group Trinity Exams, which are a really fun way to promote team work and put their acting techniques into practise.
Above all our students are friendly and supportive; some of the greatest achievements that I have seen are to do with building confidence, communication skills and making life-long friends. I am extremely privileged to be in the role of Managing Principal and am excited to share our academy with you.
"We just wanted to say a massive thank you to you and the whole team at PQA, the show really was amazing! It really showed just how hard you have all been working. We just enjoyed it so much - it was so professional and most importantly, the kids all looked like they enjoyed it so much!"
"I just thought I would say a very big thank you to you and your team. Jacob didn't just enjoy being on stage, he said he loved it! There were a few tears on the way home in the car, mostly because he was so sad it was over. So thank you and PQA for giving him this amazing opportunity."
"Many thanks Amy - they were all fantastic- my husband's family came down from Nottingham. And another friend of mine came and they were really impressed with the whole show and how well all the children did."
"My husband and I were so impressed by how calm the children were in the morning and how relaxed the children were with you and your staff. You have all done a great job with the children and the school is so well organised and such a positive and happy environment."
"Thanks to you and your team for putting on the amazing show. The children were simply amazing and that is testament to all the hard work you and your team put in. So thank you - it was a fantastic experience for them all, not just the show but the focus and preparation required to deliver. It's definitely a skill for life."
