Hi my name is Lucy and I am delighted to be the principal of PQA Bath!
I have lived in Somerset my whole life, I studied Drama and Education at Bath Spa University and have stayed in the Bath area ever since.
I have had a huge passion for performing arts my whole life. I remember my very first visit to the Theatre Royal in Bath when I was 6; from then on I was hooked!
As well as having such enthusiasm for performing arts, I also have a great connection with children and young people. Through PQA Bath I am determined to deliver the highest standard of teaching but also I want each and every one of my students to have fun. I really look forward to Saturday mornings every week and I hope my students will too!
I originally started working for PQA in October 2012, first as a Comedy and Drama Teacher and more recently as a Musical Theatre Teacher. I enjoyed the challenge of choreographing both a West End show and more recently co-directing 'Thoroughly Marvellous Musicals' at the Bristol Hippodrome. I have thoroughly enjoyed my time at PQA so far and I have finally completed my ambition of opening my own school in my most favourite city. I think the opportunities that PQA offer students are incredible and you will not find these types of experiences anywhere else.
I have various experiences in performing, teaching, dance, comedy, directing and producing which I have gained through University, work, training and being part of several societies.
I started my dance training at 'The Star Cast School of Dance and Performing Arts', where I studied various disciplines such as modern/stage, disco, street dance, ballet and tap. Whilst training there I took part in numerous performances and completed my UKA dance and performance exams. Whilst studying at Star Cast I started my teaching career over 8 years ago.
I left Star Cast in 2009 to study Drama and Education at Bath Spa University. Throughout my studies I performed in various productions including a 24 hour production of 'Grease' the musical, which I also co-directed. My biggest achievement at university was directing my own full scale production of Sophie Treadwell's 'Machinal'. I graduated in 2012 with a 2.1 BA Hons Degree in Drama Studies.
I continued teaching throughout university and after. I have worked with various local primary schools, creating dance festivals. I also worked as a drama/musical theatre teacher for the Mark Jermin Theatre School in Bath. I have been working with and teaching children for the last 8 years in various roles such as a teaching assistant, drama teacher and musical theatre teacher.
My biggest claim to fame was being given the opportunity to perform in the Wookey Hole circus as The Witch of Wookey Hole!
I have a huge passion for both education and the theatre. My ambition is to inspire, motivate, educate and build confidence in as many young minds as possible.

She then began singing lessons at the age of fourteen, training classically and being examined by ABRSM. At the age of seventeen, Katherine discovered LCM Musical Theatre exams and over an 18 month period, completed her grades 6, 7 and 8.
