Principals Information

Unlike other drama schools, we do not divide our curriculum into drama, singing and dance. We see the three disciplines as integrated components and by combining singing and dance within our Musical Theatre module, we are able to offer an additional Television & Film module, which teaches a whole new range of skills, is hugely enjoyable and which the students find particularly relevant.

Classes are divided into three age groups: 5-8 years, 9-12 years and 13-18 years. The module material is specifically geared to the different age groups. For example, the TV module for the 5-8 year olds will make use of TV programmes they will be familiar with from channels like CBBC.

The modules are of varying lengths - but they focus on skills building, some have a short performance as their end result and all of them have a lot of fun and laughter along the way!

In another departure from the norm, we don’t follow school term dates either. We don’t see the point in closing down just when our students are looking for something exciting to do during their holidays. Operating for 44 weeks of the year we have a system which allows students to join at any point in the year as well as the option to spread membership fees over 12 months.

Students receive 3 hours a week of training (at weekends)  – with 1 hour each of Acting, Musical Theatre (comprising singing and dance) and TV & Film.

As well as the regular modules, there are a number of special courses, designed for the school holidays, where students have the opportunity to work intensively in a particular area for a whole week. From ‘Make a Musical’ where students devise, write and perform their own short musical, to film making, original plays and ‘Wonderkid Adventure Weeks®’ for our youngest students – it’s a sure way to banish holiday boredom, learn a lot and have tonnes of fun.
