RED GROUP PREPARE FOR NATIONAL AWARDS CEREMONY TO CELEBRATE THEIR FILM NATION SUCCESS

PQA Red Group (teenagers) are no strangers to entering film competitions. Having won the LIGHTS ACTION PARLIAMENT competition last year, this year they aimed higher and entered 3 films into the FILMNATION SHORTS competition run in association with The Olympics. Their task was to make a three minute film on one or more of the Olympic values. Two of the three films we entered called “Sean” and “I’m Sorry I Love You…” have been shortlisted as finalists in different categories.

“Sean” a film about the inspiration a brother who died, has been, and continues to be to a younger sister, has been nominated in the last eight of the Film of The Month category having won Film of Month for December 2011. “I’m Sorry I Love You…” a film about the courage it takes to leave an abusive relationship, has been shortlisted in the last 3 of the Best Fictional Drama 14-18yr old category. Both Films by simply making the final Awards Ceremony in July have already won a prize, which is for both of them to be shown around the country, on all the live Olympic screens during the Olympics. PQA CHELTENHAM ARE GOING TO THE OLYMPICS!!!!

We are so proud of both groups who made these films, and who are looking forward to attending a glittering awards ceremony at The British Film Institute on July 04th. They are already winners, and deserve to have the most fantastic day. GOOD LUCK RED GROUP!
