There were grins and giggles at PQA Croydon last week as the first drama session of the 4-6 year old Poppet’s began. Under the careful eye of Kate (a qualified primary school teacher and a drama graduate) and Amanda the Poppet’s went on an exciting Bear Hunt!
Each week we will use the hour and a half session to work on different drama skills, including movement, speaking, improvising, singing, dancing, acting for camera and live performance (group and solo).
We will start each session with various warm up games – both physical and vocal – with emphasis on raising energy levels! After the warm up we focus on the specific work on the book for that week. We will also hone improvisation skills and learn basic acting skills through the games we play. By the end of term we will be able to perform as part of the PQA Winter Concert.
