What an amazingly busy and brilliant time we’re having at PQA Leicester at the moment! Last week, we went on a coach trip to see our Head Principal, Pauline Quirke, in ‘Birds of a Feather’ at the Theatre Royal, Nottingham, we continued rehearsals for an exciting charity event, and we saw our Poppets dazzle their proud parents in their showcase!
The students and their parents were thrilled to see our mentor, Pauline, in action on the stage last Thursday evening, and were even more excited when she gave them a big wave during her curtain call. ‘Birds of a Feather’ played to a packed theatre, and we all felt very proud to be wearing our PQA tops and representing the star of the show
Back at the academy, our students continued to work on some fun, uplifting dance routines in their Musical Theatre class for our Hearing Dogs for Deaf Children charity event. The event will take place at South Leicestershire College on Saturday 28th July, and amongst the audience for our mini Musical Theatre showcase will be a canine representative from the charity!
The Poppets Academy continued to do PQA proud last Saturday, as they performed their showcase, ‘Mary Poppets’ to a large audience of their family and friends. The Poppets’ discipline and talent continue to impress, and it’s lovely seeing them bond with each other and grow in confidence.
I hope you enjoy our photos!
