PQA Croydon has been in operation for several years and is growing all the time. Father and Son principals Alan and Tom agree that drama, acting, and putting on a play is one of the best team sports going! Being a team player and not a selfish star is very much the ethos of the school. At PQA Croydon everyone shines!
PQA Croydon is based at Wallington High School on Woodcote road where we enjoy the use of their excellent drama and dance facilities. In addition to this we continue to build relationships with local theatres and cinemas for special projects.

Sarah Jayne – Comedy & Drama
Sarah is a professional ‘jobbing’ actress who discovered her love for drama at the age of 6 at a stage school just like PQA.
She trained in drama, singing and dance, around her schooling and worked professionally as a child on BBC1’s Grange Hill and Hope and Glory (with Lenny Henry and Richard Griffiths)
Her theatre credits during her time at stage school included venues such as The Royal Albert Hall and The Wembley Conference Centre along with smaller fringe theatres and art centres such as The Millfield Theatre.
After completing her Guildhall Acting Exams she went to Bristol University to study English Literature and Drama and achieved a 2.1 BA Hons in 2004.
Her acting career took off again after graduating and she built up a long and lengthy CV including a variety of work from the London Fringe to the West End and then on to television and film.
In 2008 she decided to go back to college and did a Postgraduate Course in Acting at The Actor Works, after winning the scholarship place and graduated in 2009 with an MA.
Her acting credits include BBCs Holby City, the title role in Ellie Goes to the Movies (a short film which appeared in the Tromafling Festival), Bottom in A Midsummer Nights Dream at The Oxford Playhouse, Bella in Rabbit at The Landor Theatre, Kate in Pinter’s Old Times at The Pacific Playhouse, numerous pantomime tours around the country, plus many more!
She has been teaching English and expressive reading to children for 2 years and has run drama workshops for children for many years.

She is also trained in stage combat (armed and unarmed), singing, dancing and playing the piano.
She has a passion and ability for directing, having lead the House Drama competitions during her A Levels at school and then again at University, achieving 1st prize for her directing efforts 2 years running!
She is very excited about joining PQA and is hoping to learn as much from the Academy as she is hoping to bring to it.
