Principal: Trish Verey
Hi, I’m Trisha and I am the principal of PQA Bristol.
I have three children, two of which are involved with the performing arts.
My daughter was involved in many professional dance projects and pantomimes from a young age and has now graduated from Performers College and pursuing a career in Musical Theatre. My youngest son, Sean has appeared in several T.V. projects since the age of 9 and has recently completed a diploma course in performing arts at City of Bath College and is now teaching the T.V and film module for PQA.
I have worked as a wardrobe assistant/dresser on numerous professional musical theatre productions, and my husband David is a fully qualified football coach and referee.
As a result of our son’s involvement with TV and filming, both David and I have had much experience with chaperoning over the years, a fantastic way to be involved in projects that all my children are passionate about.
PQA has now offered an opportunity to give something back and we all fully embrace the “fun not fame” ethos of the academies. We agree the philosophy is fundamental to the success of PQA and have great pride and satisfaction putting it to use and watching students of all ages grow in confidence.
We feel very lucky in Bristol, to have recruited a very talented and enthusiastic teaching staff. Their enthusiasm extends to all the students, and this has helped PQA Bristol be such a fun place to learn such valuable skills.

My name is Benjamin Britton and i’m the Managing and Creative Director of Britton Multimedia. Within my company, I also work as a Multimedia Videographer specialising in the fields of Camera Operations, Lighting and Editing across a wide range of media’s.
I studied a BTEC National Diploma in Moving Image at South Devon College, proudly achieving The Triple Distinction (highest grade possible) although prior to that I had already undertook many MANY work experience placements. It was these experiences early on that gave me the knowledge to start working small time at a reasonably early age and eventually lead me on to where I am now.
When I launched Britton Multimedia, it was the ‘unification’ if you will of every experience I had ever learnt from, every contact I had ever made and essentially the embodiment of myself within the media industry. I heavily invested in equipment, which before it had even landed on my door step I was being called upon to work on various projects. It is this professional equipment I will use to teach the bright students at PQA with. Since the equipments arrival, the company has just gone from strength to strength and in the short time its been running, we are already working with some very reputable individuals with a fantastic outlook ahead of us.
To now somewhat repay what I was so fortunate to receive when I was younger, Britton Multimedia is strongly dedicated to the education of young individuals who are interested in this area of work. Not only does this satisfy my personal passion for teaching, but also allows me to effectively invest in my own company’s future. Britton Multimedia has a very strong work experience program where by I will get individuals to come out with me on shoots and train them up to our highest of standards. Many of our work experience personnel then go on to become part of our Associates Program, where we hire freelancers to fulfill contracts and so on.
My work with PQA will truly push forward the company’s commitment to educating others and will allow me to get to know the talented individuals that are a part of it. In the future, I hope that once students reach the accepted age of 16, that we will be able to incorporate them into our Work Experience Program and fundamentally give them a golden opportunity to break into this wonderful industry.
