Our People
Principal – Lee Ellaway
Hello, my name is Lee and I am thrilled to be the Principal of PQA Bishop’s Stortford.
I have lived in Bishop’s Stortford for over 25 years.
My passion for the performing arts, my connection with children and young people and my determination to deliver the best quality teaching whilst ensuring my students have as much fun as possible, will guarantee that Saturdays are the best day of the week!
I have been involved in theatre, entertainment and music for many years as a performer and as an event manager/producer.
In the past, I have appeared in numerous theatre productions including ‘The Secret Diary of Adrian Mole aged 13 ¾’, ‘Outside Edge’, ‘Grease’, ‘The Recruiting Officer’, ‘Can You Hear Me At The Back’ and ‘Mr Macaroni and the Exploding Pizza Pie’. I have also starred in a lot of pantomimes over the years, usually playing the Dame.
I have also done a lot of work as a presenter/host/compere for various projects from corporate events and private functions to large outdoor live shows.
Previously, I have taught drama and musical theatre to children of all ages elsewhere but the PQA modules, lesson plans and teaching resources are by far the best I have ever worked with. Our methods are engaging, entertaining and educational – in exactly the right measures.
I have a teenage daughter who has been a performer from a very young age so I am an experienced ‘theatre parent’ too.
So, if you are looking for something amazing to do at the weekends, come and see me at PQA Bishop’s Stortford!
